"DancesWithRotors - Driving Insightfully" (danceswithrotors)

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was kind enough to indulge my film-induced whim to shoot his Gran Torino. These aren’t anywhere near all the shots I got, but these were the last few on a roll of Kodak Vision 50D that I ran through, before switching to Portra 160. (That roll is currently sitting in a lightproof tank, waiting on yours truly to get off her rear and develop it, tomorrow.)
All of these were taken with a mid-60s vintage Mamiya 500TL with a 50mm f/2 lens. Developed in my bathroom, then scanned in with my trusty Epson V100. It almost works.

As soon as I find a lab to do optical enlargements, rather than digital... Seriously, the quality difference is amazing.

If you find a lab that’ll do optical enlargements, you should make a quick post about it on hear (or on photography.kinja).
I wanted to get a couple negs simply enlarged with a regular, optical, enlarger, and was really surprised that all of the (actually fairly great) labs in my town only do digital enlargements.
